As a Mother of a young child I wanted to be able to work from home and build on my business while raising a family. Voila – Mia’s VA Desk was born! When I am not working you will find me with my family and our beloved dog, exploring the outdoors throughout beautiful British Columbia.

For over 15 years I have worked in Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, Events and Operations. I began my career in retail with Holt Renfrew, and then ventured into the lighting and design industry where I worked in Marketing and Events. I enjoyed the challenge of supporting a sales team with their daily tasks, while running large scale events both in Montreal and Vancouver. I was really able to hone in on my leadership and problem solving skills once I made a new move into the hotel industry as a Catering Sales Manager. Events and clients included Arts Umbrella, BMW, Vancouver International Film Festival, Virgin Radio and the Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival.

I have always been passionate about working together with people, and I thrive on communication and relationship building.
